Secure Your Business

The Big Deal

How would you cope  with a serious disaster, such as data loss, inaccessibility of your premises, ?  Could your business operate?

We'd suggest that there is nothing more important you could do than to make sure you have good backups and an effective disaster recovery plan in place.

Free CMI Survey

The Chartered Management Institute have published a really useful report "Managing Threats in a Dangerous World: the 2011 Business Continuity Management Survey".

It makes for interesting reading.  For instance "despite 82 per cent of those surveyed reporting that their senior management view business continuity management (BCM) as important or very important, just 58 per cent say they have plans in place to cater for unexpected disruptions."

We install a separate server (the "ARC Server") which takes regular backups of your data and stores them on its hard disk.  If you need to recover one or more files, you can simply and quickly get them back from the ARC Server because all of this happens locally within your building.  No more searching for the right tape and no worrying about whether or not the backup worked last night.

But in addition, the system copies from the ARC Server up to two separate tier-1 secure data centres.  This provides extra security if something happens at your premises - a burglary or a fire, for instance.  This offsite repository also means that you can keep multiple backups, going back a long way, if required.

The offsite copy only transfers data which has been changed since the last copy.  This means there is less traffic and the copies can happen seamlessly and unobtrusively.

What's In It For Me?

  • Totally Managed Service.
No need to perform the backups, train staff, buy tapes or tape drives.
  • Save Money on Insurance.
Insurers often discount prices for businesses with proper DR/Continuity plans.
  • Reassure Clients, Prospects and Partners.
Everyone prefers to deal with businesses which are secure.

What Does it Cost?

There is a one-off setup fee of between £99 and £599.  This fee depends on your location, and on the number of ARC servers you choose.  Most small businesses use just one.

Then it's just a monthly fee of £150 per ARC Server (up to 250GB of monthly transfer).  This fee rises for larger transfer volumes, but this fits the bill for many small businesses.

All pricing is subject to VAT at 20%.  ARC Server is provided subject to a minimum 12 month contract.
